Suzanne Parker

Suz is a NETA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and life-long sports and competition enthusiast. She is the heart of our RackFit program, bringing her enthusiasm for fitness and community to each and every class she coaches. Suz spent the majority of her youth participating in sports, including swimming, soccer, basketball, track, and cross country. After graduation, she found that she quickly missed the camaraderie and team atmosphere from her school days and attempted to meet that need through local recreational sports and general fitness. As someone who was always intimidated by weightlifting, she quickly fell in love with Rack House Fitnessโ€™ diverse workouts, and how well the training translated into her running. The days she embraces movement are the days she feels that she is at her best and the desire to demonstrate and encourage this in others is what draws her to coaching. Suz makes it a priority in her classes to strengthen that mind/body connection in each of her athletes, making for healthier and happier lifestyles. Her goal is for each person to leave the gym with a renewed energy for their day, striving to help them create the optimal work/life balance. She enjoys seeing the shift in her athletes as they come in day to day with increased confidence and enthusiasm for fitness and life. 

Because Suz has learned the physical and mental value of maintaining fitness throughout the lifespan, she started to become curious about the science behind exercise during pregnancy and postpartum. She is now certified as a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach, and hopes to support women through what can be such a vulnerable season of life. Her goal is to empower women to understand their changing body and continue their routine in the gym with an increased awareness of their core and pelvic health. She has started to feel most at home during her Wednesday and Sunday classes with expecting and postpartum mothers and their little ones. Witnessing women continuing their athleticism through motherhood and bonding with their babies in the process has been a joy and inspiration for Suz.
